Memorial funeral services for Michael James Horky will be held Friday August 26th, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Berean Church in Broken Bow, Ne. with Pastor Tyce Jensen and Pastor Don Schauda officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. A guest book may be signed at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Comstock Fire and Rescue. Michael James Horky passed away at his home August 19, 2016. Mike was born November 20, 1991 to Tom and Sue (Clark) Horky. He graduated from Loup County High School in 2010. While in high school Mike worked at the Pizza Hut and Custer Care in Broken Bow. He worked and passed his tests to become an EMT and a Med. Aide. He attended college at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. He graduated in 2013 as a paramedic. He worked in Neligh for Midwest Medical. Mike then moved to Des Moines, Iowa and worked for MidWest Ambulance. While in Des Moines he earned his critical care Paramedic License. He later returned home to work for his dad at Tom’s Repair. Mike enjoyed volunteering with the Comstock Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, watching cartoons, smiling, and helping people. Michael is survived by his parents Tom and Sue Horky of Sargent, Ne. his finance Brenda Zamitiz of Broken Bow, her parents Alberto and Ana Zamitiz, and grandmother Louise Clark of Broken Bow, Ne., Step grandmothers LuEtta Clark and Roberta Pauls, many aunts, uncles, neices, and nephews, and many many friends. Micheal was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Eileen Horky and Darrel Clark.
