Heaven’s Choir has a new member as Rosella Felt 86 of Broken Bow left her earthly body to celebrate a new body on August 22.
Rosella was born on a snowy, wintry day on May 18, 1930 to Henry and Judith (Rodine) Carlson, the second of four children. Rosella married Warren Felt on February 19, 1948 and moved to the farm where they resided until retiring and moving to Broken Bow in 1997.
Rosella loved children and music. Even though she had limited formal training she became proficient at the piano and passed on her love of music by leading the Flatbottom, district 9 in the county wide music contests, giving piano lessons and leading the Burr Oak Belles 4-H club in the 4-H music contests winning many honors.
She loved her Lord and served Him faithfully throughout her life by teaching Bible classes for children and adults, she was treasurer for Mt Zion Sunday School for many years, Warren and Rosella were members of Sumner Evangelical Free Church, she helped at Homeward Trail Bible Camp, Christian Women’s Club, and was active in the Berean Church when they moved to Broken Bow.
Rosella enjoyed her community life especially being involved with the Willing Workers Club in the Flatbottom community and her neighbors in Broken Bow and was always up for a game of King’s on the Corner or Bingo.
Her greatest joy was her family especially her grand children and she couldn’t get enough of them. If you wanted to make her happy, just tell her the kids were coming or there was another grand baby or great grand baby on the way.
Rosella will be missed by her children, Jerry (Connie) Felt of Ord, Rose Marie (Rick) Parker of Scottsbluff, Joyce (Darrel) Entz of Mason City, brother Garland (Betty) of Fergus Falls, MN, sisters Joan (Lee) Hiegel of Dallas, TX, Charlene (John) Walker of Atlanta, Georgia, ten grandchildren and three great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
Going before her and welcoming her to her Heavenly home are her husband Warren, one grandson, her parents and one infant daughter.
