Gracie Knapp

Gracie Knapp age 97 of Broken Bow, died Friday September 9, 2016 at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Reverends Todd Karges and Glen Emert officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday 9 AM to 8 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary with the family greeting friends 6 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the Broken Bow United Methodist Church. Gracie Knapp was born on April 15, 1919 at Berwyn, NE to Ulrick and Cora (Talbot) Sorensen. She was married to Don Knapp. They farmed in the Berwyn area. They later divorced. Gracie moved to Broken Bow. She was employed for many years at the ASCS office in Broken Bow. When Gracie was younger she enjoyed working with the cattle on the Sorensen Farm. Gracie was a member of the United Methodist Church. Gracie is survived by her niece, Barbara (Howard) Teuscher of Broken Bow. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Margarite Line and Hazel Butler.
