Patricia "Pat" Russell

Patricia Russell age 93, of Broken Bow, died Monday September 19, 2016 at the Madonna Rehabilitation in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Todd Karges officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 10 AM to 8 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary with the family greeting friends 6 PM to 7 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the Mark and Pat Russell Coaching Scholarship. Pat was born August 30, 1923, at her grandmother’s home in Elk Creek, Nebraska to Earl Alba and Hester Mae (Clark) Carmine. She was married to Marshall “Mark” Russell on May 25, 1945. Pat and Mark moved to Broken Bow in 1946 and spent the next 35 ½ years teaching at the Broken Bow Schools. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshall (Mark), a brother Boyd C. Carmine, and a niece Mary Ann Carmine. Survivors include her son Dr. John C. Russell of Beatrice, a daughter Connie Rae Hagerty and husband Joseph A. Hagerty III, a grandson Joseph A. Hagerty IV, a granddaughter Leah Rae Hagerty all of Springfield, NE and a nephew Earl T. Carmine of Baldwin Park, CA.
