Marian Maciejewski

Marian Maciejewski age 91 of Broken Bow, NE died October 21, 2016 at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Howard County Memorial Medical Center.   A rosary service will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held on Monday 8 AM to 5 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow.   Marian was born on March 2, 1925 at Grand Island, NE to William and Rebecca (Leiser) Vocke.   She grew up and received her education in Sherman County, NE.  Marian was married to Roman Maciejewski on November 20, 1956, at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Paplin, NE.  They resided on a farm north of Litchfield, NE until 1985 when they moved to Broken Bow, NE.  She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with farming and ranching. Marian was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.  Marian enjoyed feeding the birds, playing cards, gardening and baking.   Mr. Maciejewski died in 2007.   Marian is survived by her daughter; Elaine (Dwight) Johnson of Broken Bow and a sister in law Mildred Vocke.   She was preceded in death by her husband Roman, her brothers; Robert, Frank, and William Jr. and sisters; Margaret and Irene.
