Alice Mae Goehring

Alice Mae Goehring, age 90, of Thedford, Ne. passed away Friday December 30, 2016 at Thedford, Nebraska.   Funeral services will be Thursday January 5, 2017 at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Thedford at 1 p.m. with Reverend Lee Wonch and Reverend Ron Matsen officiating.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Thedford.   Memorials may be made to the Thedford EMTs, Thedford Fire Department, or donor’s choice.   Alice Mae Hemkin Goehring was born November 25, 1926 to Ovah and Mary Hemkin at Litchfield, Ne.  They moved to the ranch west of Thedford when she was 1 ½ years old.    Alice Mae married Richard Goehring March 1, 1946.  They enjoyed the country life ranching and working together.  Alice was a member of the Amazing Grace Church in Thedford.    Alice Mae is survived by 2 daughters; Pat (Bob) Edis of Mullen, NE, Peg (Randy) Andersen of Thedford, NE, grandchildren Wade and Jeri Edis, Travis and Sheri Andersen, Shelly Andersen and Eric Ridenour, great grandchildren; Jaci and Lane Edis, Shelby, Tate, Sheyenne, Shelton, Shaydon, Skyler, and Shantell Andersen, and Derek Snyder, great great grandsons; Maciel Vargas, Ryver and Jayzin Andersen;  brothers in law and sister in law; Bob Anderson of Broken Bow, Jack (Carolyn) Corben of Sumner, NE, nieces, nephews, and many friends.   Alice was preceded in death by her husband Richard Goehring, her parents Ovah and Mary Hemkin, a sister Dorothy Blauvelt, and a sister in law Esteleen Anderson.
