Broken Bow, NE – Wanda Ropers age 77 of Broken Bow, died Sunday January 8, 2017 at the Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Methodist Church in Gibbon, NE. Burial will be in the Buffalo Lutheran Cemetery south of Oconto. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 12, 2017, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Wanda was born on September 23, 1939 at Arnold, NE to Walter and Elva Knapp (Babcock) Nelson. She attended school in Mason City and Broken Bow. Wanda was married to Henry Ropers on May 2, 1964. Mr. Ropers died February 13, 2016. She is survived by her children; Joseph Ropers of Anselmo, Inez Swanson of St. Paul, Katie Ropers of Boleus, Ida Morgan of Gibbon, Harriet Winchester of Guymon, OK, Harold Ropers of Chapman and Jody Ropers of Boelus, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother, Walter Babcock of Colorado, 3 sisters; Florence Bramer of Texas, Josephine Murphy of Anselmo, and Phyllis Olson of Grand Island.
