Judith "Penny" Sintek

Judith P. “Penny” Sintek age 79 of Mason City died November 7, 2009 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home at Broken Bow after a brief illness. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 11, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Ansley, NE with Rev. Michael Laing officiating. A book is available for signing at Govier Bros. Mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Ansley Township Cemetery. Judith (Penny) Penelope Porter Sintek was born on July 1, 1930 at the Potts farm in Custer County, NE. She was the daughter of Ralph and Anabel Porter. Penny graduated from Ansley High School in 1947 and received a R.N. degree from Methodist Hospital of Nursing in 1951. She was married to Arleigh Sintek in 1951. They lived in Ansley many years while he taught at Ansley High School, then later as a banker at Security State Bank in Ansley. They moved to the farm in 1988 where they were able to be in the outdoors that they loved. They enjoyed raising cattle and always had a beautiful garden. They also kept an eye on the world from their view atop the hill. She is survived by her husband Arleigh Sintek, sons David Sintek of Ansely, and Jim Sintek of Kearney, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brother Ralph (Gleasnor) Porter , sister Jo (Glenn) Rohde and Pamela (Jack) Berry. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Clarence Porter and his wife Verlee.
