Broken Bow, NE- David Kirkpatrick age 73 of Broken Bow died Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 13, 2010 at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow with Rev. David Hansen and Rev. Dale Coates officiating. Visitation will held Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Govier Bros. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Cancer Center or Donor’s choice. David H. Kirkpatrick was born April 16, 1936 at York, NE to Bert and Mabel (Meeker) Kirkpatrick. He attended school in York, Ne. and graduated in 1953 from York High School. On January 3, 1955 David married Bettie Huss in York. In 1974, they moved to a ranch and farm operation near Anselmo. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a longtime board member of the Sargent District Hospital, He enjoyed horses, hunting, and fishing, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Bettie of Broken Bow, daughter Cindy (Scott) Naber of York, NE, two sons Steve Kirkpatrick of Broken Bow and Bert (Bobbi) Kirkpatrick of Broken Bow, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister Rachel Stewart of Durango, CO., one brother Ben (Ann) Kirkpatrick of York, NE. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jim, one sister Helen, daughter- in- law Karen Kirkpatrick.
