Roselean (Rose) Isabelle (Wells) Perrin She was known by many names to her family, and friends - Roselean, Rosebud, Rose, Rosa, and Rosie. Roselean was born December 1, 1920 to Ray and Isabelle (Marsh) Wells on a farm west of Sargent, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to the late Robert Harold Perrin on May 25, 1941 on her parent’s farm home. Roselean died March 7, 2010 at the age of 89 years at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska. Roselean attended Oxford Rural Public Grade School, District # 13. She attended Gates Rural Public High School for two years from 1934-1936 and graduated from Sargent High School in 1938. Roselean completed her Normal Training and taught grade school at the Blue Mound and Tableland Rural Public Grade Schools 1938-1939 and 1939-1940 respectively. She worked at S.S. Kresge, in Omaha, Nebraska after they were married. Rose worked at the Triplett Outlet Store in Sargent from 1956-1958. She was the secretary at the Sargent Public High School for 8 years, from 1958-1967. She worked at the Northern Propane Co. in Sargent, Nebraska after being the secretary at the Sargent Public High School. Roselean attended the Methodist Church all her life, whether at Walworth Methodist Church, or Sargent Methodist Church. Roselean was a wonderful cook; everyone loved her waffles, crispy fried chicken and applesauce cake. For any food in general she was able to make the taste amazing. She enjoyed gardening, working on the Jennie Melham Medical Center Auxiliary Hospital Rummage Sales, attending local auctions, Neighborhood Clubs, the late Friday Frolic Club in the Sargent community. She loved living and working on the farm, hearing the cows in the green pastures lowing. Roselean is survived by her two children: Ronald Robert (Jenae) Perrin, North Platte, Nebraska and Rita Rose (Mac) Fox, Kirkland, Washington. Grandchildren: Kimberly Rose (William) Slemp, Trenton Perrin (Christy) Fox, Rebekah Rose (Robert) Barney, Deborah Ann (Taylor) Young, Chelsie Juanita Fox, Rachel Lyn Perrin, Tamron Perrin Fox. 3 Great-Grandsons: August and Wilson Slemp, and Isaiah Robert Fox. 2 Sisters: Evelyn (Cash) Gideon, Burwell, Nebraska, Iris (Robert) Steinhoff, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Brother-in-law Charles “Bill” Estes, Lillian/Anselmo, NE. 2 Sisters-in-law: Nadine Perrin (Robert) Amos, Washington D. C., Connie Gilmer (Jack) Williar, Salisbury, Maryland. Rose was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Isabelle (Marsh) Wells; Her life-time mate Robert Harold Perrin of 60 years who loved her very much; Sister Gladys Wells Vanek, and husband Frank Vanek; brother Frank Wells and sister-in-law Gretchen (Prettyman) Wells; and Sister Margie Estes; and brother-in-law Robert F. Amos. There are 68 Nieces and Nephews, 111 Great Nieces and Nephews and many Great-great Nieces and Nephews who all have been a very important part in her life. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday March 13, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Sargent, NE with Reverend Cliff Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Sargent. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow and Saturday morning 9:00 AM until service time at the United Methodist Church in Sargent, Nebraska. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Roselean Perrin’s name be made to the Heritage Hall Jennie Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, Nebraska.
