John Bragg Gibbons

John B. Gibbons John Bragg Gibbons age 76 of Comstock, NE died April 18, 2010 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be held Monday April 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Rev. Cliff Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at the Douglas Grove Cemetery at Comstock, Ne. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. A memorial for Mr. Gibbons will be established at a later date. John B. Gibbons was born February 26, 1934 at Wescott, Ne. to Walter E. Gibbons Sr., and Sylvia Marie Havlik. He attended country school and later graduated from Comstock High School. On March 14, 1959, John married Barbara Erickson. John was a rancher for most of his life. Surviviors include his wife Barbara Gibbons of Comstock, Ne. Three daughters Anne Marie Gibbons of Comstock, Ne., Amy Ellen Kremke and husband Kris of Hooper, Ne., and Katherine Louise Gibbons and husband Jay Cramer of Omaha. Six grandchildren Sarah Anne Keefe, Megan Marie Keefe, Brenna Jean Keefe, Spencer James Keefe, Tanner John Kremke, and Austin Thomas Kremke. John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Walter Jr. and a nephew. Family will greet friends Sunday 4-6 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary.
