Broken Bow, NE- Ellen Hickman age 99 of Broken Bow died Saturday December 11, 2010 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow. Graveside services will be held Monday December 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the French Table Cemetery northeast Broken Bow with Reverend Kathy LaRocque officiating. Burial will be in the French Table Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday 1 PM to 6 PM and Monday morning 8 AM to 1 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow. Memorials have been established to the Heritage Hall Nursing Home or the Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow. Ellen Hickman was born on March 15, 1911 to Albert and Sylvie Haumont Kleeb in the French Table Community. She graduated from Broken Bow High School. She was married to Edward Burman. Mr. Burman died in 1967. She later was married to Bill Hickman. Mr. Hickman died in 2000. Ellen is survived by her son Jerry Burman, step son Bill Hickman, one granddaughter and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters Lucille and Ethel, and two brothers Harvey and Robert.
