Bessie Schultz, age 90 of Sargent, Nebraska died Monday December 13, 2010 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow, Ne.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Rev. Mark Stones officiating. Burial will be in the Somerford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday December 17, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Bessie is survived by three sons Harvey and Cindi Schultz of York, Ne., Marvin and Raye Jean Schultz of Sargent, Ne. Marlyn and Lori Schultz of Gering, Ne. three daughters Marlene and Frank Amos of Doniphan, Ne., Karen and John Glidden of Ainsworth, Ne., and Carolyn and Mike Criss of Sargent, Ne. grandchildren Amy (Jeff) Bemis, Kimberly (Chuck) Keller, Chad (Gwen)Schultz, David (Lyndsey) Criss, Clinton (Kristal) Amos, Trevor Glidden, Amber (Brad) Downing, Jessica (Russell) Zierott, Chandra (Austin Lewis) Criss, Justin Schultz, Jody Schultz, and Ashlyn Schultz. Great grandchildren Haleigh and Cade Bemis, Raylee and Gracee Downing, Ayden and Ava Amos, Peyton and Brennan Criss, and Kinslee Lewis. One sister Emma Smolik of Sargent, and Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Husband Sandie, a son LeRoy, and brothers Edward, Frank, William, Chuck, and Louie. And two sisters Lucy, and Rosie.
Bessie was born November 9, 1920 in Round Valley, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Jares) Jezbera. She attended school at the Round Valley School.
On July 2, 1948 Bessie married Sandie G. Schultz. They made their home in the Sargent area, where they farmed and ranched. Bessie enjoyed gardening. Bessie’s great love was for her family, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and all the wonderful times they had together.
