Connie Jo Trotter

July 14, 1935 — October 24, 2017

Connie Trotter went home to be with her Lord October 24, 2017.  Memorial services will be November 10th, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, Nebraska with Reverend Tyce Jensen officiating.  Memorials can be made to Ascera Hospice.  Govier Brothers Mortuary in charge of arrangements.   Connie Jo (Shepherd) Trotter was born in Table Rock, Nebraska July 14, 1935 to Roy Earl Shepherd and Bernice Gertrude (Irwin) Shepherd.  She attended school at Falls City and Ansley.  Her father worked for the railroad therefore he was transferred to Ansley where she graduated from Ansley high School.   On July 23, 1960 Connie was united in marriage to Emery O. Trotter at Lexington, Nebraska.  The couple lived in Broken Bow most of there married life.  Connie worked for the Custer County Chief then Nebraska State Bank retiring after 35 years.  She also worked at Skyline Casino in Henderson Nevada for a while.   Connie and Emery liked camping, boating, plus traveling in their motor home.  After having a home built in Pahrump, Nevada they moved from Las Vegas to Pahrump enjoying many friends they made.   After Emery’s passing, Connie moved back to Broken Bow to be closer to her relatives and many friends.   Her wishes were to be cremated and have graveside services and laid to rest by Emery.   She is survived by four step children; Lois (Dan) Carpenter, of Kearney, Dean Trotter of Sequim WA. Roxie Pringe, of Portland Oregon, step daughter-in-law Laverna Trotter of Broken Bow.  Eight step grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, eleven step great great grandchildren, special cousin Paula, special friend Joanne, cousins and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emery, step son Teddie, step grand daughter-in-law Marleena, step grandson-in-law Mark.
