Dale Green

Dale Anthony Green, age 88 of Sargent, NE passed away on December 20, 2017 at the Community Memorial Health Center of Burwell, NE.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Sargent, NE with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Anselm Cemetery, Anselmo, NE.   A visitation will be held on Friday December 22, 2017, 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM with a rosary service to be held at 6:30 PM at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Sargent.   Memorials may be offered to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church., Sargent, NE.  Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow, www.govierbrothers.com    He was born July 21, 1929 on a farm west of Anselmo, NE to Ira and Katherine (Powers) Green. He graduated high school in Anselmo, NE. He married Phyllis Peirson on March 3, 1957.  He spent most of his life farming, ranching and installing irrigation pipe in Custer Country Nebraska. He loved rodeo, working the land and spending time with his family.   He was preceded in death by grandson Joshua Green, sisters Monica Weaver and Veronica Englert, brothers; Bill Green, Donald Green, and Joe Green.    Dale is survived by his wife Phyllis Green, sister Betty Neville of Troy, MO, children Patricia (Greg) Kallhoff of Omaha, Connie (Greg) Griebel of North Platte, Chuck Green of Denver, CO, Amy (Jake) Kleeb of Central City, Grandchildren Natalie (Lance) Wang, Eric Kallhoff, Andrea (Mark) McTaggart, Lisa Kallhoff, Brandy Ritz all of Omaha, Travis Griebel of Staunton, VA, Sawyer Ritz of Loveland, CO, and Cody Green of Denver, CO, and four great grandchildren.
