Dalene Hanna

Dalene Hanna age 66, of Purdum, NE passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Purdum, NE with Pastor Diana Jahn officiating. Burial will be in the Purdum Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Purdum United Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, NE. Dolores (Dalene) Hanna was born February 9, 1953 to Marion and Lenna Hanna. She grew up in Halsey and Purdum. She graduated high school in 1971.

Dalene was very involved in 4-H. She was a member as a child and did many 4-H projects. As an adult, she became a 4-H leader. Dalene was a part of the Blaine County and Thomas County Fair Boards for many years. She was also very involved with the UCC Church and Women’s Fellowship.

Dalene is survived by significant other Joe Buechler of Purdum, two sisters and brother-in-law, Dona and Frank Hawk of Grand Island, NE, and  Crissie Wobig of Glenrock, WY, three daughters, Brenda Buechler of Thedford, NE, Carla Barnum of North Platte, Ne,  and Kathy (Tim) Claywell of Cheyenne, WY; and five grandchildren, Kyle Barnum, Kourtney Barnum, Kooper Barnum, Daniel Alexander, and Zach Alexander; Nieces and Nephews and several Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

Dalene is preceded in death by her parents Marion and Lenna, brother Bob, sister-in-law Bev, and brother-in-law Larry Wobig.
