David Sean Copp was born on May 8th, 1961, in Denver, Colorado. He passed away on February 21, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. He was a man of deep kindness, unwavering generosity, and an unshakeable love for his family and friends.
David moved to Dunning, Nebraska at a very young age and lived there with his parents, Gary and Madeline, and siblings, Tina, Larry, and Ronni. He graduated from Sandhills High School in 1980. David had a deep love for his maternal grandmother Leota Keller in Denver. The family visited her every summer when he was young. David also spent some time after high school living with his grandmother in Denver while working, prior to moving back to Nebraska and settling down.
In 2000 Dave married Julie Nagy in the town of Dunning with many family and friends in attendance. Together they welcomed two beautiful girls into their lives, Taylin and Tayten Copp.
It was obvious to all that his daughters were the light of David’s life. He loved his girls dearly and being their dad brought the greatest joy to his life. This was evident in how he traveled constantly throughout their youth to support and cheer them on in their sporting, school and other endeavors.
Anyone who was lucky enough to be able to see him around the girls knows that they are the apple of his eye and greatest accomplishment. He often spoke fondly of his girls and their achievements in life stating regularly how proud he is of both of them. His girls loved his support, goofy personality and the fact that he even had his own Tik Tok account.
David's favorite work was ranching, but he eventually settled into driving a truck as it provided the stability he needed to support himself and the girls and he grew to love it over time. He worked hard and long hours and never complained. He was among the best of men who lived his life with integrity and compassion for others.
David is survived by his daughters, Taylin Copp and Tayten Copp, his mother Madeline Copp, brothers Ronni Copp and Larry Copp (Steph), sister Tina Stithem (Brad), along with many loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Copp.
