Debra “Debi” Dawn (Williamson) White was born February 2, 1954, to Douglas and Beckie Jean (Churchwell) Williamson in Denver, Colorado. She was the youngest of two older brothers, Calvin Douglas and Marshall Grey. She attended Wheatridge High School and participated in the concert and marching band playing the flute and the baritone. After graduation she worked at Arlens Department Store at the soda counter after Arlens she worked at the Colorado National Bank in the night depository and she became the supervisor. During her time at the bank, she met the love of her life, David Lew White. Debi and David were united in marriage on December 27, 1975. To that union, 14 children were born. With each wonderful God-given child that was born Debi’s love just multiplied. She always talked about adoption and when her lovely grandchildren started coming, she was so happy to be a “Nana”.
While homeschooling her children Debi also was involved with running the local bloodmobile for the Red Cross. She spearheaded the donation drives for over a decade. As Debi’s children graduated and left home, she started working for the United States Postal Service in 2008. She worked with the USPS in Sargent, Comstock, Mason City, Anselmo (on and off) and Taylor (which she worked at for the past three years) until her death. Debi loved getting to know the people in each community and was a friend to everyone she met.
David, her children, faith and grandkids were the most important things in Debi’s life. She was kind to everyone, always had a smile and listened without judgment or impatience.
