Duane Kinder

Duane Kinder age 63 of Broken Bow, NE passed away August 2, 2023, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE.

Memorial Graveside Services will be Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Arapahoe Cemetery in Arapahoe, NE Memorials are suggested to the Family in care of Govier Brothers Mortuary at 542 South 9th Ave Broken Bow, NE 68822. Words of encouragement may be left at www.govierbrothers.com.

Duane Edward Kinder was born December 15, 1959, in Cambridge, NE to Norman and Arliss (Brown) Kinder. Duane graduated from Holbrook High School in 1978. After high school Duane moved to Cozad, where he lived for several years. He later moved to Callaway, then settled in Broken Bow.

Duane enjoyed restoring and showing old cars. He was very talented with auto body and working with his hands, winning multiple awards for his work. Duane worked at several locations in the Broken Bow area- Fixed Right Auto, Gateway Motors, Connely’s Camper Corner, and V- Bar Trailer Sales. After his health failed, Duane enjoyed spending time at the family farm.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Arliss Kinder.

Duane is survived by daughters Heather Kinder of Cozad and Jamie Fochtman of Gothenburg, five grandchildren Kaden, Ethan, Rori, Emmalyn, and Paul Isaac, his longtime girlfriend, Rhonda Sheneman of Broken Bow, and children Amber and Jenn, two sisters Valarie (Alex) Difuntorum of Lincoln, and Daralis Kinder of Overland Park, KS and many lifelong friends.
