Ethan Koinzan age 34 of Broken Bow, NE passed away on March 27, 2024, at the CHI Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the Broken Bow City Municipal Auditorium in Broken Bow. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to The Family or Wounded Warrior. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31st with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Ethan Jered Koinzan was born June 29, 1989, in Broken Bow, NE. Ethan grew up in Broken Bow, graduating from Broken Bow High School in 2008. On May 28, 2008, Ethan joined the U.S. Army serving his Country in Iraq 2008 – 2009, and Afghanistan. Ethan was honorably discharged in April of 2012. After returning home he remained in the National Guards.
Ethan never knew a stranger, loved meeting people, making them smile and laugh. Ethan enjoyed time with his family and friends, Husker Football, Philadelphia Eagles, and riding motorcycles with his friends.
Ethan was preceded in death by his mother Michelle in 2010, and sister Michelle Farmer.
Ethan is survived by his son Rayden, Fiancé Sherri Saighman of Broken Bow, dad John Koinzan of Merna, brothers John J. Koinzan of Merna and Adam Koinzan of Merna, sisters Teresa Halley of Valentine and Shari Sandoz of Valentine, birth mother Heather Farmer of Tryon, numerous nieces and nephews Kaycee, Tristen, Tyler, DeVaney Jo, Traceten, Payton, Lauren, and Jade.
