Evelyne White

Evelyne White age 87 of Broken Bow, NE passed away April 25, 2023, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow.

Evelyne Mae White was born November 2, 1935, in Dunning, NE to Richard “Dick” and Verna (Honeywell) Duryea. Evelyne grew up in Brewster, NE. She was Valedictorian of her class and played Volleyball and was a Cheerleader. After graduation she attended Kearney’s Teaching School, returning to teach in Brewster for two years, and married Bruce White of Anselmo on August 14, 1955.

Evelyne was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Verna Duryea, brother Robert Duryea, husband Bruce, and son Robert.

Evelyne is survived by daughters Karen (Don) Hutsell of Louisburg, KS, and Patty (Steve) Zeleski of Lincoln, two grandsons Kyle Zeleski of Lincoln, and Drew (Bailey) Zeleski of Marion, IA, one great granddaughter, and sister-in-law Edna Duryea of Houston, TX.
