Fred Rohde

September 30, 1930 — February 9, 2018

Fred Rohde age 85 of Ansley, NE died February 9th, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 15th at Ansley Christian Church, Ansley, NE with Pastor Stacey Erstrom officiating. Burial will follow at the Ansley Cemetery with Military rites. A luncheon for family and friends will follow interment at the Ansley Community Building. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 14th 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fred Rohde was born in 1932 to August and Gladys Rohde in Cumro, NE. They moved to Ansley, NE when Fred was two. He graduated from Ansley High School in 1951. Fred served in the United States Army for two years and served as a Corporal in Korea.  In 1958 he married Louise Warner and they lived in Hyannis, NE for several years before relocating to Iowa and then settling on the farm in Ansley, NE where they have lived for fifty-four years. Fred was a cowboy, a rancher and a dairy farmer. He enjoyed coaching baseball and cheering on his sons and grand children in their many sporting events. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching John Wayne westerns and playing cards and spending time with family. Fred was a big hearted and hardworking man who will be missed greatly by his family,  friends and community. Fred is survived by his wife Louise Rohde, son Shane & wife Jill Rohde, son Phil & wife Karla Rohde, son Gregg Rohde, son Pete & wife Heather Rohde, and son Lance & wife Donna Rohde. His grandchildren Skylar & husband Corey Morris, Siera Rohde, Landon Rohde, Kelsie Rohde, Dallas Rohde, Kaylee Rohde, Lexi Rohde, Leyton Rohde, Addilyne Rohde, Deliah Rohde, Dexter Rohde, Taylor Rohde, Austin Rohde, Brady Rohde, Evan Brockmeier, Reid Brockmeier and his great grand-daughter Brooks Morris. He was proceeded in death by his parents August and Gladys Rohde, a son Flint Rohde, his brother Lloyd Rohde and his sister Virginia Rohde and 2 grandchildren Owen and Norah. Memorials are suggested to the Ansley High School – to the Score Board Fund in his name and to the Ansley Christian Church.
