Gale Roberts

Norma “Gale” Roberts age 70, of Burwell, NE passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Community Memorial Health Center-SNF in Burwell, NE.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sargent, NE with Pastor Marty Robbins officiating. Memorials may be made to Sargent Ambulance.

Gale was born August 9, 1950, in Martin, South Dakota to Norman and Edith (Scott) Truax. Gale had seven sisters, and one brother. Gales is preceded in death by her mom, dad, brother and three sisters.

In 1966 she married Wallace Roberts, to this union three children were born, Bryan (Kim) Roberts, Tracy (Edward) Jamieson, and Julie Collins. Gale had four grandchildren, Marie (Nick) Ernesti, Amber (Lee) Vincent, Lance Colins, Laithyn Collins, and six great grandchildren.

While working at Anthony’s Market in Sargent, Gale earned her G.E.D. Gale later got her CNA license and began working at the Sargent Nursing Home.

Gale looked forward to Sunday mornings, going to church at Church of Christ in Sargent. She was a die-hard Nebraska Husker football fan, loved crocheting, making her derby cars, watching NASCAR, and old westerns. She especially loved listening to Elvis Presley.
