In the early 1960’s, Dean and his brother Don started their own concrete business. In 1965 Dean and his family relocated to Broken Bow after he purchased the A & W Root Beer franchise. A farm near Westerville was purchased in the early 1970’s and became the family’s home. During the remainder of his working life he continued farming and doing concrete with his sons. Beaumont Concrete was well known throughout the area. In 2005 he and Betty sold their farm and moved into a home they built in Ansley.
