Harold Glen Holeman

October 13, 1937 — March 16, 2024

Broken Bow

Harold Glen Holeman, son of Donnell and Gertrude (Hunt) Holeman, was born on October 16, 1937, in Arcadia, NE. He passed into glory on March 16, 2024, at the age of 86.

Harold attended Arcadia Country School and graduated from Arcadia High School.  He married Lois (Sybrant) Holeman on December 27, 1956, in Arcadia, NE. He became father of Wade, Bradley, Russell and Harold Paul Holeman who survived him and Glen Ray and Douglas Duane Holeman who passed before him.

Harold was born and raised on the farm and became a farmer in his married life as well. In August of 1961, Harold stepped off his tractor and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, who wonderfully changed his life forever.

He sold off his farm and gave up his love of farming to serve the Lord.  His heart became to know Jesus and to make Him known to others. Harold and Lois, with family in tow, had many adventures as they began their missionaries lives with New Tribes Mission, in 1963. Harold held positions as dorm parent in West Brazil at Puraquequara, maintenance in both Fredonia, WI and Waukesha, WI, Bible teacher and Dean of married students at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI. He loved teaching and anyone who knew him, knew he loved to tell stories. Even after his retirement in 2013, he continued ministering at a local nursing home.
