Broken Bow, NE – Jackie “Jack” L. Burnett age 80 of Broken Bow, NE died Monday, January 22, 2024, surrounded by family.

Memorial Services will be on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Service will be livestreamed at www.govierbrothers.com.  Lunch will follow at Tumbleweed Cafe, then burial at the Janesville Cemetery southeast of Berwyn, NE at 2:00 pm. Jackie L. Burnett was born May 16, 1943, in Custer County to Alfred and Leota Burnett, He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1961.

Jack spent most of his life on the farm raising cattle and riding horses. Jack enjoyed Casino’s, grandchildren, great grandchildren, climbing on ladders, coffee at Tumbleweed, working on his tractor, and moving snow for Broken Bow residents.

Jack is survived by his wife Jean, seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren, and a sister Beverly.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joyce, and an infant brother.
