Jean Bubak

We are heartbroken to announce the death of Una “Jeanie” Bubak, who sadly passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 76. Jean was a loving mother who was always there when her family needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Ansley, NE. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Isabelle Breiner; husband, Doug Bubak; and siblings, Marilyn Holmes, Gary, and Larry Breiner.

Jeanie is survived by her daughter, Brenda Breiner-Melendez; grandchildren, Jade Breiner and Eli Melendez; great-grandchild Eli Breiner; nieces, Teresa Holmes, Kristi Wood, Dana Breiner, Elisha Dodge, and Kaci Johnson; and nephews Chad and Andy Breiner.

Jean was born and raised in Ansley, NE where she would live out her years. Jean’s time was filled by her love of gardening, sewing, quilting, canning, and being a grandmother and great grandmother.

To honor Jean’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life at Govier Brothers Mortuary on May 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and to remember her loving life.
