Jeannie Sierks

Jeannie Sierks age 62 formerly of the Anselmo and Broken Bow area passed away February 27, 2023, at the Emerald Lakeview Care in Grand Island, NE.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jeannie Mae (Dainton) Sierks was born September 16, 1960, in Broken Bow, NE to Owen and Lois Dainton. Jeannie attended and graduated from Anselmo-Merna High School. After high school Jeannie married Marvin Sierks. The couple made their home in Dunning. To this union three kids were born. The couple later divorced. Jeannie moved to Broken Bow and worked in housekeeping at the nursing home. Jeannie enjoyed her horses, jigsaw puzzles, painting, and like to make people laugh.

Jeannie is survived by her children Dusty Sierks of Giltner, Ashley Sierks of Gothenburg, and Owen Sierks of Kansas, two grandchildren Riley Sierks and Ava Sierks, two brothers Richard Dainton of Columbus, GA, and Robert Dainton of Norfolk, and two sisters Joyce (Phil) Haumont of Anselmo, and Judy McCaslin of North Platte.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents.
