Josh Lorenz

Joshua Richard Lorenz passed away June 12, 2023, in a car accident near Merna, NE.

Joshua was born in Denver, CO September 26, 1983.

Joshua graduated high school from Jim Elliot School, Class of 2002, LPN from North Central Kansas Technical College, RN from Cloud County Community College 2010.

Joshua worked at the following hospitals: Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (Beloit KS); Great Plains Health (North Platte, NE); Ogallala Community Hospital (Ogallala, NE); Gothenburg Health (Gothenburg NE); Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center (Broken Bow, NE).  He also spent the summers of 1997-2003 as the camp nurse for Maranatha Bible Camp.

Joshua was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan and a Colorado Avalanche Fan.

Joshua is preceded in death by his grandfather Vern Lorenz

Joshua is survived by his children; Hunter Lorenz, Zachery Lorenz, and Emma Lorenz; former wife Erica of Lexington, NE; Parents Rich Lorenz of Byers, CO and Cheri Lorenz of North Platte, NE; Grandparents Jeanette Lorenz of Kearney, NE, Bill and Louise Crooks of North Platte, NE.  His brothers Daniel Lorenz of Byers, CO, Abraham Lorenz of Byers, CO.  His sisters Sarah (Mike) Matheney of Albuquerque, NM, Rebekah (Eric) Kelly of Chilliwack, BC, Hannah (Jon) Budfuloski of Byers, CO. Aunts and Uncles: Mary Lorenz of Beatrice, NE, Cindy Lorenz of Gibbon, NE, Bob Lorenz of Kremmling, CO, Mike Lorenz, of Gibbon, NE, Tami (Glenn) Littrel of North Platte, NE, Michele (Andrew) Staples of Spring Hill, TN.  His nieces and nephews: Analisa Mason, Joshua Mason, Jacob Matheney of Albuquerque, NM; Gunner Kelly, Tucker Kelly, of Chilliwack, BC; Elena Budfuloski, Nora Budfuloski of Byers CO.  Significant others:  Kat (Katrina)Sewks, Kayb Sewks, Briley Sewks, Callin Sewks, Abigal (Abi) Sewks, Ian Borseph, Aidan Borseph of Anselmo-Merna, NE.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Berean Bible Church, 2419 Memorial Dr, Broken Bow, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. Govier Brothers Mortuary are assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.govierbrothers.com.

Additonal services will be held on Saturday July 1, at 10:30 AM at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Byers, CO.
