Thedford, NE- Judy Taylor age 76 of Thedford, died Sunday December 4, 2022, at the Callaway Good Life Center Nursing Home in Callaway.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday December 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the United Church of Christ in Thedford with Reverend Les Parmenter officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
A register book my be signed on Thursday 11:00 AM until service time at the church in Thedford. Govier Brothers Mortuary is assisting the family. The services will be livestream at www.govierbrothers.com
Judy was born on September 12, 1946, at Genoa, NE to Ralph and Donabelle (Hazen) Mohr. She attended country school through the 8th grade. Judy graduated from Genoa High School in 1964. After high school she attended Airline Stewardess training in St. Louis, MO.
On July 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Taylor of Genoa. The couple made their home in Genoa before moving to Thedford in 1983. Judy worked as a grade school Para and for Lee Ray Insurance before being elected as the Thomas County Treasurer. She held this position for over 20 years. Judy retired in 2015. Her health started to decline shortly afterwards.
Judy was a faithful member of the United Church of Christ. She helped at the church for funeral diners and served on many church boards.
Judy enjoyed going to the casinos and going fishing. She loved watching Husker volleyball and her favorite baseball team the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Judy had many great friends and family in her life that took her on some great adventures big and small. She loved and remembered every detail of everyone of them.
Judy was the greatest Grandma to her own grandkids as well as the many other children that were in her life. The candy drawer was always full, pudding in the fridge and the porch swing for stories and laughter.
Survivors include her husband Ted of Thedford, daughter Stephanie (Jason) Coffman of Dunning, son Stacy (Jennifer) Taylor of Mahaska, KS, grandchildren; Alex and Austin Coffman, Megan Cool, Chris Higgins, and Cody and Brett Flippi, several great grandchildren and a brother Jerry (Marilyn) Mohr of Genoa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Kathleen
