Les Smith

Les Smith age 59 of Miller, NE passed away December 20, 2021 at Kearney Regional Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 11:00 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Dean Millsap officiating. The memorial service willl be livestreamed at www.govierbrothes.com. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for Medical Expenses. Leslie Phillip Smith was born January 14, 1962, in Broken Bow, NE to Phillip and Cheryl (Bailey) Smith. Les attended grade school in Berwyn, NE and then went on and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1980. After high school Les went to Western Community College in Sidney, NE for two years.

Les liked all sports two of his favorites where Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Les enjoyed Mustang cars, Labrador dogs, and horses. Les helped coach his kids through their sporting events when they were growing up.

Les is survived by his wife Kerry Smith of Miller, son Tyler (Mandy) Smith of Odessa, daughter Jordan (Logan) Dowhy of Kearney, stepchildren: Kenny (Kris) Eckel of Gibbon, Chanon Eskridge of Lincoln, and Luke Kenney of Lincoln, his parents Phil & Cheryl Smith of Broken Bow, seven grandchildren: Peyton, Laikyn, Stetsyn, Morgan, Rivie, Bronx, and Chloe, brothers Rob (Teresa) Smith of Broken Bow, and Russ (Paula) Smith of Broken Bow, a niece, nephews, and beloved dog “River”.
