Lorena “Renie” Mae Millsap age 91, of Broken Bow, NE passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Broken Bow Care & Rehabilitation Center in Broken Bow, NE.
Funeral services for Renie will be Monday, September 10, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Govier Brothers Chapel with Pastor Larry DeMoss and Ed Casteel officiating. Burial will be in the Westerville Cemetery in Westerville, NE. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 9, 2018, 1 to 7 P.M. with family greeting 5 to 7 P.M. at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Memorial may be made to Nebraska Special Olympics at P O Box 836 Omaha, NE 68101-0816 or Homeward Trail Bible Camp. Govier Brothers are in charge of arrangements. Renie was born March 21, 1927, in North Platte, NE to Berent “Bud” and Elsie (Pierce) Newtson. Renie attended Lincoln County District #39 school, then graduating from North Platte High School. Renie was united in marriage to Alfred Millsap February 3, 1946, at the Lillian Church of Christ, the couple were blessed with four children Dennis, Dwayne, Gaylean, and Sharon. Renie and Alfred farmed in the Westerville Community. In 1971, they moved to Broken Bow.
Renie is survived by sons Dennis (Priscilla) Millsap of Kearney, NE, Dwayne Millsap of Broken Bow, NE, daughter Gaylean Millsap of Broken Bow, NE, sister Vera Fosbinder of North Platte, NE, sisters-in-law Lois Niedt and Dorothy Millsap of Kearney, NE, four grandchildren Michelle (Donn) Glynn, Dustin (Melanie) Millsap, Melanie (Lonnie) Teeter and Tyler (Michelle) Millsap, thirteen great-grandchildren Matthew Glynn, Tabor Glynn, Brandee Glynn, Cody Glynn, Jason Millsap, Jared Millsap, Kalya Millsap, Karli Millsap, Jerome Teeter, Jordan Teeter, Jessica Teeter, Creighton Millsap and Kinley Millsap.
Renie is preceded in death by her husband Alfred, infant daughter Paralee, daughter Sharon and parents.
