Marge Mason age 85 of Broken Bow, NE passed away November 7, 2023, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 10, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Reverend Dean Haidle officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway, NE. Memorials are suggested to the Custer County Foundation. A visitation will take place on Thursday, November 9^th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM with family greeting from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Marjorie “Marge” Louise Mason was born February 22, 1938, in Callaway, NE to Douglas and Mabel (Morrison) Wise. Marge grew up in the Callaway area attending Sunny Side Grade School and graduating from Callaway High School in 1955. On January 3, 1957, Marge was united in marriage to Marvin Mason. The couple lived in San Diego, CA for six years, as Marvin worked for Rohr Aircraft. They then moved to Seattle, WA for a year, before returning to Broken Bow, NE. Marge started working at Holcomb’s Pharmacy.  She later went to work at the Custer County Court House from 1982 to 2007 and served as the Custer County Clerk from 1999 through 2003.

Marge liked her horses, cats, and enjoyed reading a lot.  She enjoyed watching the deer and other animals.  Marge loved her family and enjoyed watching her kid’s sports activities.  She liked to watch volleyball, especially the Huskers. 

Marge is survived by two sons Brett (Lisa) Mason of Bertrand and Terry Mason of Callaway, grandson Bryce (Storm) Mason, of Kearney, granddaughter Allison (Cole) Gibbins of Sidney, and two great-granddaughters Stella and Rooney Mason.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, and son Dennis.
