Nina Clark

Nina Louise (Scott) Clark was born January 3, 1943, to Rev. and Mrs. David Scott in Sutherland, Nebraska. In her childhood she lived in United Methodist Parsonages in Paxton, Hay Springs, Lewellen, Loup City (Kindergarten to 2nd grade), Merna (3rd to 5th grades), Bayard (6th and 7th grades), a trailer house in her sister Martha's yard (8th grade), parsonage in Callaway (9th grade), and a trailer house in Mullen on her Grandparent's yard (10th to 12th grades).

Following her graduation for Mullen High School she attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, two years later she transferred to the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Two years later she graduated and went to work in Kansas City as a Dental Hygienist. A short time later and she was a member of the clinical staff of the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri.

Shortly after arriving in Kansas City, she met Kenneth W. Clark in a Young Adult Sunday School class at the Central United Methodist Church. Ken was a student at the St. Paul School of Theology, Methodist. Just before Christmas in 1963 they became engaged. One year later, December 20, 1964, Nina's father officiated at their wedding.

Following Ken's graduation they moved to Springville, California where Ken served the United Methodist Church. Two years later they moved to Shafter, California. Three years later they moved to Visalia. From there they moved to Mullen where they moved into Nina's Grandparent's house. While in Springville their son Timothy Allan was born. While in Shafter they adopted their daughter Janet Louise. They currently have seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Nina was an accomplished musician. She began playing the piano and later the organ. She played for activities and church services at the Mullen Methodist Church while in high school. She played clarinet in the Mullen High School Band. While living in Visalia she became a member of the church Bell Choir, an activity she dearly loved.

Nina is survived by her husband Ken of Mullen, son Timothy Allan Clark of Visalia, CA, daughter Janet Louise (Larry) Macedo of Oakdale, CA, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents David and Zelma (Barnebey) Scott, sisters Annabelle, and Martha.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10:30 am MT at the Sandhills Community Bible Church in Mullen, NE with Pastor Bob Teters officiating. Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hope Coffee Missions of Texas. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm MT at the Mullen Funeral Home in Mullen, Govier Brothers Mortuary of Mullen are in charge of arrangements.
