Patsy M. Kilmer

 On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, Patsy M Kilmer, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 85 at Callaway District Hospital in Callaway, NE.

 Patsy was born February 3, 1935 to Fay and Ruth Finch in North Platte, NE. She attended Arnold Public Schools and graduated from Brownell Talbot High School in Omaha, NE in 1954. On August 15, 1954, she married Elvin "Bub" Kilmer at the United Methodist Church in Arnold, NE. They raised four children, Steve, Kim, Kent and John.

 Patsy had a passion for music and passed this on to her sometimes-reluctant children. She played the piano and was part of the church choir for most of her adult life. She was also the main accompaniment for late-night sing-alongs at home with classmates and family after many Arnold High School alumni.

 In 1966, when the family moved to the current farm, Patsy became the epitome of a farmer's wife. She always had a warm breakfast prepared while, at the same time, getting the kids ready (refereeing!) for school. She took having new-born baby calves warming-up in the family room in stride. Even with the busyness of everyday farm life, she never missed one of the kids sporting events. From Little League baseball to high school sports, she was always there cheering them on, while hiding her quiet worry. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and enjoyed their many activities and accomplishments.

 Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Ruth Finch, two brothers John Finch, Faylin Finch and her loving husband Bub. She is survived by her four children, Steve (Kerry) from Lees Summit, MO; Kim Schied from Callaway, NE; Kent (Mildred) from Camarillo, CA and, John (Joy) from Grain Valley, MO, seven grandchildren - Kelsea Kilmer, Annette Clark, Colton Schied, Bryce Kilmer, Shelby Kilmer, Rachel (Ross) Ferguson, Morgan Kilmer and five great-grandchildren - Reese Ferguson, Carlee, Madeline, Isaak, Elizabeth, Benjamin Clark.
