Memorial services for Bob will be held Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow, NE. With Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in the New Helena Cemetery in Anselmo, NE. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Govier Brothers Mortuary from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Robert Eugene Lindly known, to family and friend as “Bob”, passed away on June 4th, 2018, at the age of 87. That captivating smile and outgoing and generous personality made Bob a friend to all. Bob was born October 12, 1930, to Lloyd and Leona (Doman) Lindly in Anselmo, Neb. In 1948, Bob graduated from Curtis Agriculture High School in Curtis, Neb. He then returned to his family farm in Anselmo where he spent his life Farming and Ranching with his father and brother. Bob and Darlyne (Hazen) Lindly were united in marriage on October 14, 1972. To this union, two daughters were born Brenda Lee and Jennifer Ann. Throughout his life, Bob was a member and involved in many organizations in the Custer County area including, United Methodist Church in Anselmo, Army National Guard, Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, Shriner’s. Bob was an active member, board member, guide, landowner and hunter in the Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt. He met and made many long-lasting friendships through it. Bob’s passions were farming, ranching, gardening and his loving family. In 2016, Bob and Darlyne moved to Omaha, Neb to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Bob was so proud of his two young grandsons and “beamed” whenever they were around him. “Papa” was their “Buddy”. Bob is survived by his wife Darlyne, Daughters Brenda Lindly, Jennifer Lindly and Finance Lee Smith, Two grandsons D’Angelo and Darius Lindly all of Omaha, Nebraska; sister-in-law Helen Lindly of Anselmo; brother-in-law Albert Hardy of Broken Bow; and many nieces and nephews.Bob is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Leona; Bothers Lloyd Jr, Clarence Albert, and Harold; sister Joanne Hardy; nephew Jerry Hardy; Father and Mother-in-law Marvin and Violet Hazen and Brother-in-law Royle Hazen.
