Roberta "Bert" Thompson

Roberta (Bert) Thompson, age 80, of Broken Bow, formerly Anselmo, Ne. died September 8, 2017 at the Brookstone View Nursing Home in Broken Bow.   Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at  the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with Pastor  Bill Williams officiating.  Burial will be in the Ortello Valley Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday September 12, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with family present 5pm to 7 p.m.  Memorials may be offered to the Ortello Cemetery fund, or Multiple Sclerosis Society.    Roberta was born on June 3, 1937 at Almeria, NE to James W. and Stella (Dunbar) McMillan.  She was married to Maurice “Tuffy” Thompson on July 20, 1958.   Roberta is survived by her husband Maurice (Tuffy) Thompson of Broken Bow/Anselmo, 2 sons Jim (Cathy) Thompson of Milburn, Ne., and Mike (Beth) Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Loren (Jane) McMillan of Martin S. D.    Roberta was preceded in death by a brother Ted McMillan.
