Rodney McAlevy

Central City, NE – Rodney McAlevy age 61 formerly of the Merna/Broken Bow area passed away on March 20, 2024, at The Oaks at Central City Nursing Home.

Graveside Memorial Services will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Merna Cemetery at Merna, NE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Family. Govier Brothers Mortuary are assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.govierbrothers.com

Rodney Clay McAlevy was born on July 18, 1962, in Fairfield, California at the Travis Airforce Base to Russell and Doris (Parkhurst) McAlevy.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Russell.

Rodney is survived by his brothers Ron McAlevy and Steve McAlevy, sisters Connie Brock and DeAnna Pinger-Devoto, and many nieces and nephews.

Rodney went to school in Merna, Nebraska. Later in life he worked at a glass factory in California for many years before coming back to Nebraska. Rodney enjoyed God, music, and drawing many creations for his nieces and nephews.
