Ruth Lenore (Frosh) Ross 82 of Arnold went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in her home surrounded by family.
Ruth was born at home in Kilmer Valley South of Arnold to Fred and Lenore Frosh.
At the age of 7, Ruth accepted Christ as her savior during Bible School at the Tallin Church. She always strived to humbly be an example of Christ in all that she did.
She attended Prairie View Country School District# 132 until the 8th grade when she then moved to town to attend Arnold High School graduating in 1957. Two years later Ruth married her sweetheart in Callaway, NE at the United Methodist Church on March 22, 1959. They made their home on Stop Table until 1966 when the purchased a farm north east of Arnold where they raised three children. Ruth will be fondly remembered as a companion and partner in all of the aspects of being a farm wife, from operating a grain cart to preparing delicious meals for family and hired men. She was a very loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she delighted in family, but particularly all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren coming to visit. She always had time to play and have tea parties. She always gave the best of what she had to others. She held a standard of always wanting to look her best even if she was going outside with Larry or going to the grocery store. She will be remembered as a generous hostess and cook who could make a feast even at the simplest get togethers, with the table set to perfection. She loved hosting holidays, birthdays and other family occasions. The making of Christmas cookies, candies, and pies was her specialty. You could never stop to visit without cookies and a drink being set out on the table.
Ruth was involved in a number of clubs, Methodist Women’s Society and other organizations throughout life. Most recently she enjoyed the time spent with friends in the Arnold Scarlet O’Hatters and the adventures they took together as a group. Ruth also enjoyed snow birding in Yuma where she spent time with her sisters, brother-in-law and longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by her parent Fred and Lenore Frosh. Sisters Lucille Lucerno, Marjorie (Dan) Grafton, Lois (Leon) Clevenger. Brothers Lloyd Frosh, George Frosh, Beryl Frosh, Ray Frosh and brother-in-law John Johnson.
She is survived by her husband Larry of 62 years, daughter Lisa (Mitch) Geiser of Arnold, Randy (Linda) Ross of Gothenburg and daughter LeAnn Ross of Laguna Nigel, CA. Grandchildren Devin (Sarah) Geiser, Lyndsee (Korey) Clifton, Dalacy (Justin) Lans, Casey (Caresse) Ross, Crystal and Gregory Ross. Great-Grandchildren Caleb Geiser; Jordan, Jacob, Joslynn, James and Jorgianna Lans; Colt Ross; Tristen, Trevor and Baylee Clifton.
