Johnson Lake, NE- Steve Holcomb age 73 of Johnson Lake formerly of Broken Bow passed away on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the Lexington Regional Medical Center in Lexington.

Services will be held on Monday January 29, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.  Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.  Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements..  A visitation will be held on Sunday evening 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary. After the services the family will continue to celebrate Steve’s life at 4:00 PM at the Broken Bow Country Club.

                 Carl Steven Holcomb III age 73 of Johnson Lake formerly of Broken Bow passed away on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the Lexington Regional Medical Center in Lexington. 

                 Mr. Holcomb was born on June 29, 1944 to Carl S. and Ruby (Tennant) Holcomb at Broken Bow, NE.
Steve graduated from  Broken Bow High School in 1962.  Steve excelled in both basketball and track.  He played basketball at Kearney State College.
                 One June 17, 1964 he married Leslea Myers.  From this union three children were born:  Scot, Lisa and Lori.
Steve had a love for sales.  He sold insurance in Lincoln in the early years of his career.  Later moving back to Broken Bow where he worked with Clark Triplett at Triplett's Appliance.  He purchased the business in the late 70's and continued to run it until 1985.  At this point, the family moved to Arizona where he continued to work in sales.  Steve's love for Nebraska brought him back home.
He was actively involved in the Nebraska One Box and was on the board for many years.  He also enjoyed his coffee time in Broken Bow and at the lake each day.
Debra Loloff has been a loving companion for the last 20 years.
Steve is survived by his children:  Scot Holcomb of Johnson Lake, Lisa (Russ) Bristol of Broken Bow, and Lori (Todd) Reynolds of Broken Bow, his companion Deb Loloff of Johnson Lake, sister, Vicki (Mark) Knoell of Show Low, AZ, Grand kids; Tyler and Jessica Holcomb, Zach and Abby Bristol, Austin, Dylan, Lauren and Nathan Reynolds and  Great-Granddaughter Avi Grutel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Leslea and a nephew Tim Knoell.
