Susan Elizabeth Childers

Susan Elizabeth Childers age 75, of Stapleton, NE, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Susan was born June 24, 1943, in Jackson, Michigan to Robert and Evelyn (McFarland) Quick. Susan graduated from High School in Indiana. Susan attended and graduated from Chadron State Teachers College. Susan taught school in Cherry County for three years. On January 24, 1968, Susan married the love of her life Robert Childers. They ranched north of Mullen, then south of Seneca. Susan enjoyed ranching with her husband, horses and driving a horse & buggy.

Susan is survived by her husband Robert of Stapleton, brother Tom and his wife Michele Quick of Kendallville, IN.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Evelyn Quick.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 11:00 AM CST at the Seneca Auditorium in Seneca, NE with A B Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mullen, Stapleton, Thedford Fire Department or the Tryon Fire Department. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements.
