Terry Duane Poe

Terry Duane Poe age 62, passed away at home, Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2019. He had suffered a long period of illness. Terry was born January 26, 1957, in Larned, Kansas. The family moved frequently while Terry was growing up, but the main places he had memories of were Kansas, Virginia, and Grinell, Iowa, where he graduated from high school. Of the many jobs he held, truck driving and sales were his favorites. He also loved fishing, playing cards and board games with friends, and time spent with his family. He was an avid NFL fan, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. 

Terry is survived by his wife Adele of Taylor, children Kathleen (William) Nixon of Cheney, KS, Angela (Adam) Mullins of Cheney, KS, Jarita Poe of Burwell, Leah (Colin) Baker of Ramsey, IL, Tyler Poe of Taylor, grandchildren McKayla, Jayden, & Dylan Nixon, Susanna & Andrew Mullins, Savannah Shake, Tobias & Benedict Baker, two sisters Roberta Thompson of Wichita, KS and Linda Poe of Garden Plains, KS.

Terry is preceded in death by his first wife Lona Larson Poe, parents Robert and Mildred Poe.

Memorial services will be Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Affirmation Assembly Rabbi Mark Cislon officiating at the Salvation Army Chapel at 1719 Central Ave Kearny, NE. Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences can be left at www.govierbrothers.com.
