Vance grew up in the Minatare/Scottsbluff area where he attended North Highland grade school and graduated from Minatare High School in 1956, lettering in football, basketball and track. He attended Hastings College where he studied veterinarian science and met his future wife, Nancy Owen.  They were married on September 29, 1957. Over the years, he loved to woodwork, golf, trap shoot and play town team basketball with his buddies that are now old cronies. Vance was always concerned about the care of animals.  Vance is survived by daughter, Susan (Will) Withers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Sally (Ron) Leifert of Lincoln; sisters Shirley Aulick and Isa Riley, brother Dan Vohland; six grandchildren, Caleb and Madison Withers, Brittany Vohland, Lorin, Logan, and Emma Leifert; sister-in-law, Ann Owen of Broken Bow, really cool nieces and nephews plus two great grandchildren.  Vance was preceded in death by his wife Nancy & twin sons, David and Daniel Vohland.
