Viona Sandoz

March 8, 1932 — February 2, 2018

Viona Sandoz of Taylor, Nebraska went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, February 2nd.  She was born at her parent’s home place on March 8th, 1932, the youngest of 11 children.   Viona loved her 6 children and their  spouses,  and 25 grandchildren with all of her heart.  She loved to sing to them and share the love of Jesus.  She and Jesse Sandoz were married 54 years and had 6 children; LaVonna, Miles, Dwight, Dawn, Loren and Juanita.  They lived the first few years of their married life in Ellsworth Nebraska.  They lived 25 years in South Dakota and then moved to Taylor where they spent their golden years.   She loved her family so much; she would do anything to spend time with them.  She made every one of her 25 grandchildren an afghan for their graduation.  She loved puzzles and reading to them. Viona is survived by her children; LaVonna Rae (Harry)Laughlin of Burke, SD , Miles Lavern (Connie) Sandoz of Midlothian, TX,  Dwight Alan (Nadine) Sandoz of St. Paul, NE, Dawn Renae (Jim) Slack of Liberty Hill, TX, Loren Gustof (Marah) Sandoz of Taylor, NE, Juanita Joyce (Justin) Voigt of Cedar Creek, TX.   She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren and a brother Chester and his wife Marian Dunbar from Coon Rapids, MN.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse, and infant daughter, Ardith Ray,and  4 brothers and 5 sisters.   She will be missed by her family, friends, and all the beautiful people she met at her assisted living in Burwell, NE.  She was known there for her crocheting, reading, love, and singing with her beautiful and forever youthful voice to anyone who would listen.   Services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Loup County Event Center in Taylor, NE.  A visitation will be held on Sunday Evening at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Assembly of God Church in Taylor.  Memorials are suggested to the Assembly of God Church in Taylor. Burial will be in the Moulten Cemetery.
