      Vivian M. Leymaster Larsen, age 92 of Broken Bow went to her Heavenly Home January 28, 2021in North Platte, NE

     Vivian was born September 27,1928 to Ray and Mary (Walters) Leymaster in a sod house in the New Hope community. She moved with her parents to the Round Hill community in March of l929. She attended Round Hill School from kindergarten through the 10th grade. She attended Broken Bow High School graduating in May of 1946.

     Vivian was united in marriage to Lester Loyd Larsen June 10,1946, the couple eloped to Marysville, Kansas. To this union were born five children, Linda Marie Jezbera, Mary Lou Mihm, Leslie Eugene Herbert “Jim” James and Theodore “Ted” Lee.  When they were first married, they lived in Broken Bow. Several years later they moved on his folk’s farm in Senate Run Community. The couple moved to Oregon to be close to Lester’s sisters in 1954 returning to Nebraska in 1958, to the Happy Hollow Community, then they moved to Broken Bow. Vivian started to work at Becton Dickinson December 10,1960 where she worked for 30 years, she retired December 1990.

     She confessed her faith to the Lord on April 4,1979 at the First Christian Church. Vivian was a lover of the outdoors and loved her roses, and other flowers. She also loved crafts.

     Vivian was a member of the Broken Bow Does #68, she served as president.  She was an active member of VFW Auxiliary 3547, serving as President and many other offices, the American Red Cross donating blood and volunteering. Vivian was great about sending out cards for Birthdays, Anniversary’s, and Sympathy.

     Vivian is survived by her five children, Linda Jezbera, of Merna, Mary Lou Mihm of North Platte, Leslie (Judy) of Sidney, Jim (Colleen) of North Platte., Ted (Deb) of Colorado Springs, 15 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.                           

     Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Lester, parents Ray and Mary Leymaster, brothers Wesley and Walter Leymaster, and sons-in-law Dennis Mihm and Joe Jezbera.

  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE. The funeral will be livestreamed at www.govierbrothers.com. Burial will be at a later date in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Broken Bow VFW Auxiliary. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with family greeting 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements. An online guest book may be signed at www.govierbrother.com. Govier Brothers Mortuary will comply with the CDC and State of Nebraska.
